About us
Schlei Kate stands for honest, regional cooking in the cosy atmosphere of an old thatched cottage dating back to 1785, just a few metres from the Schlei.
Since May 2026 we have been spoiling our guests here with local dishes and fresh ingredients from the region. Alongside our regular menu there are daily or weekly seasonal specials, above all plenty of fish straight from the boats in Maasholm. In the afternoon we also serve freshly baked cakes and tarts.
Our Schlei Kate has a wonderful, sheltered outdoor terrace and a cosy dining room. Both are also suitable for private functions.
For overnight guests we have four lovely rooms. All rooms have their own shower room, are newly renovated and individually furnished. After a good dinner you can simply fall into the snug beds of the cottage and enjoy the quiet by the Schlei.
