About us

Schlei Kate stands for honest, regional cooking in the cosy atmosphere of a traditional thatched cottage from 1785, just a few metres from the Schlei.

Since May 2026 we have been treating our guests to local dishes and fresh ingredients from the region. Alongside a fixed menu, we offer daily or weekly changing seasonal specials – above all plenty of fish, fresh from the fishing boats in Maasholm. In the afternoons we also serve freshly baked cakes and tarts.

Our Schlei Kate has a wonderful, sheltered outdoor terrace and a cosy dining room. Both are also suitable for private parties.

For overnight guests we have four beautiful rooms, all with their own shower bathroom, modern renovation and individual décor. After a perfect dinner, you can simply fall into the cosy beds of the thatched cottage and enjoy the peace and quiet of the Schlei.
